So I get the whole back to basics, drawing from life, practicing values, working with perspective, improving from step one--thing. It's necessary, it's good for you, it helps you to improve etc.
But can I say that I am so bored of drawing inanimate shit?
So. Bored.
Gotta love them prereq courses, right gais?!
Yeah, they're awesome.
But in all honesty, it's really kind of nice to have a real art class for once. Real feedback is fun, even if I'm not used to it so much. Unfortunately, I think this is going to be my only class that involves drawing this year. But I suppose...editing and screen writing are important too? I dunno. I just need to make more time for fun art to make up for it, I guess.
You know what else is fun? Dancing. Dancing is fun.
For having only one legit art class, I sure had to buy a lot of shit for it.
So I get to look like an intense nerd walking over to the art building for my "Beginner's Drawing" class with a portfolio twice as large as I am and a darling little toolbox with all my art junk in it.
Cute.
Anyway, I like how college makes you too busy to be constantly homesick. Because otherwise I would be. :c
But it's okay so far. I'm still kind of wondering whether or not this was the right decision for me, but I suppose it's a little too soon to tell.
